Gwendolyn Ligon, MS, LAPC, CRC*

Specializes in depression, anxiety, life/career transitions, grief and loss, career counseling, and is knowledgeable about return-to-work/staying-at-work when job accommodations are needed in accordance with provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAA 2008).

Provides therapy for individuals aged 18 and older, couples and Christian based upon request. Available for in office sessions on Tuesdays and virtual/telehealth sessions Monday through Thursday.

Gwen Ligon is a nationally Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and is a License Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) working towards full licensure in the State of GA. She graduated from Thomas University with dual degrees in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. 

Gwen gets excited about meeting people where they are and helping them navigate through the snares of life to find harmony. She specializes in working with adults (age 18+), pre-marital couples, married couples, midlife issues and women’s issues. She uses an integrative approach to working with clients that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and some techniques from the Gottman Method for working with couples. She provides a nonjudgmental and safe space for clients to talk freely about their issues. When working with clients, Gwen sees herself as a supporting partner helping them discover solutions for the challenges they are facing. She helps clients identify goals, improve communication skills, learn coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and implement self-care activities.
