Amanda Fairbanks, MA, APC, NCC*

Amanda Fairbanks is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who is pursuing licensure. She graduated from Richmont Graduate University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Trauma Counseling. Amanda has experience working with individuals and groups of all ages. She has experience working with a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship stress, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and more.

 

Amanda’s approach to counseling is collaborative. She believes that each client is an expert on their experience, which makes the client an integral part of the therapeutic process. Amanda works to create a safe and welcoming space so that her clients may bring their authentic selves into the room as they work toward healing. She utilizes an integrative approach to counseling that uses aspects of psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral based theories.
